Happy Feet (2006) There are many more movies, series, and guesting of Robin Williams through the years. This Part 2 of the list holds my favorites. The Part 1 list of movies are his earlier works, some I have seen, and some I only had a glimpse of. I hope you all enjoy this list and maybe in honor of his great movies, take a day off, and have a movie marathon. ;-)
1. Can I Do It Till I Need Glasses (1977) 2. Popeye (1980) 3. The World According To Garp 4. The Survivors (1983) 5. Moscow On The Hudson (1984) 6. Seize The Day (1986) 7. Club Paradise (1986) 8. Rabbit Ears: The Fool and the Flying Ship (1991) 20. Toys (1992) Aaaww. That was all I could say after watching the last episode. They truly saved the sweetest scene of the entire series for it's final episode. The truth is I didn't even know that it was going to be the last episode. But through out the show, I felt the longing for the episode to last longer.
There were many things I wanted and did not want to happen to the story. There was even a time that I didn't like watching; when Debb/Jane had a fight with Stacy. I mean what would have pushed the writers to create that big of an argument in the script? A best friend that would even be so selfish as to ask for her best friend's X-fiance's gooey baby makers, and actually fall in love with him? *sigh* Actually, that pushed me to stop watching for a while. The plot was too much for fans. I hated Stacy, and she used to be a very lovable character. I wished Fred went back, even as just a human; because everyone loves Fred. I wish Stacy didn't end up with Owen, I hoped Kim would. Fred and Stacy made a great couple. The best unexpected part would have had to be Grayson's return to Earth as an x-convict. The last scene with both of them on different bodies and that really sweet song, made it just perfect. Soulmates. <3 I've seen Parent Trap so many times, I didn't even think there was something else to it. This scene is pretty amazing. I don't know why they cut it out of the movie. After many years in hiding, here it is. You'd be blind not to notice the beauty of these two ladies in the new teleserye "Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon." I mean seriously, their make up artists and stylists have their game so high up, the actors on other teleseryes have such dim appeals by comparison.
I was never a fan of Maricar Reyes in the past. Not that I care about any of her personal history, but I can't remember a single movie, series, or guesting she was on. All of that has changed though. Now I think she's the most gorgeous villain on TV. Here I thought, no one could possibly be a step up of Mylene Dizon's beauty, on her role as Mrs. Contrabida on Mirabella. Bea Alonzo, on the other hand, always struck me as a good actress. Far from her other roles on series and movies, on Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon, her beauty and style? Gorge! Here are a few snaps of Maricar Reyes' and Bea Alonzo's amazing make up and style on their current series. I have probably only ever watched a maximum of 10-15 Filipino movies my entire life. When my aunt was sick and had to stay with us for a period of time, I learned to watch local channels and then some. It is my first time to ever begin and actually follow Pinoy teleseryes, except for one I watched a long time ago entitled "Enkantadia." That was really good. As of now, I've only finished one, continuing another, and following one that had just begun. I imagine I would watch a few more in the future. Some Pinoy Teleseryes are not bad. 1. Mirabella Stirring away from the typical story lines, Mirabella is a fantasy series that revolves around a girl, cursed with the appearance of wooden skin. The series picks up from stories of lust, love, greed, revenge and pride. A nice twist of karma every now and then sends viewers waiting to see what happens next. For a first time TV lead role, I think Julia Barretto did a great job. It is a sin not to mention Mylene Dizon's amazing acting and the way she must have taken care of her entire body. Such beauty and elegance. 2. Dyesebel There is no doubt that Anne Curtis-Smith is gorgeous. Her playing the part of Dyesebel was perhaps one of the good choices of ABS-CBN. I was interested in Dyesebel at the beginning of the series and still continue to watch it as it is about to end. It may have been that Dyesebel is a re-run of a story from a long time back and is attempted to adapt to the current age; but the script maybe should have been more modernized for Dyesebel's personality. I mean really, no one at that age can be so naive. Especially her "human" partner Fredo. I am however, still interested in fantasy series. Although a little old school for my taste, it's still a series to recommend. 3. Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon A clear manifestation of a certain topic about Filipino series. Repetitive with a twist. I clearly only started watching this series because of Bea Alonzo. I watched some parts of a few of her movies and I like the way she commits to her roles. I am still watching this in the hopes of Paulo Avelino's face or voice to show more emotion that he maybe thinks he is showing. hehe. I hope it gets even more interesting. It's that time of year again when all the "good" series are on break. Or at least the ones that I have been watching. To complete this list, here are some of what I have been watching that are currently on break or are still uncertain of returning:
Below are the list of series that I am now currently watching to replace this empty void of months of waiting for the next seasons of the above. 1. Believe Is a new series revolving around human beings with supernatural powers, specifically a little girl who is more "gifted" than the others, her convicted father, and the scientists that helped her out of the world of exploitation. It seems repetitive in terms of other series that have already aired, but it is still okay to watch. I kind of like the way the cast act out their characters. (General Audience) 2. Lost Okay, so maybe this is a really old series. The thing is, when this was on-going I could only watch some episodes because of my schedule. I got a $#!+ load of confusion skipping episodes so I gave up on it. I did get the gist afterwards and the important events of the series. But I want all of it, so here. So far so good. :-D 3. Orange Is The New Black A comedic twist on a story of a used to be lucky, happy living woman, who self surrenders in prison to pay for a crime she committed with her ex lesbian lover, on her naive adventurous early years. Pretty funny. (Series involves crude language and scenes of sexual nature. NOT for kids.) 4. Penny Dreadful A connection of dark stories intertwined in the old days. From Frankenstein, to Van Helsing, to Dorian Grey, etc. This thrilling series deserves a shout out. (Series involves crude language, a play on religion, sexual, and violent nature. NOT for the underage.) Other than the ones mentioned above, I am also currently watching some Asian reality shows, and some animated series that are or will be on another set of lists.
Frankly I would feel incomplete without watching it every week. It didn't feel right to comment on each of the roommates until I watched them more. Hopefully they'll each show more of their personalities on the next episodes. :-) Hong Soo-hyun - She's just really beautiful and she always seem to look fresh even with little make up on. I think I'll try and look for her period drama and see how good she acts. If joining this reality show was meant to boost her popularity then by far, it is working. Props to the elegant Soo Hyun. Jo Se-ho - Is possibly my second favorite roommate in the house. I prefer people who show effort and has a good sense of humor. I like when others spread out joy and make a lot of people happy. :-) Lee Dong-wook - I don't really feel like I see enough of Dong-Wook in the show. At the beginning, he seemed to be featured better. Maybe because he's busy, but not appearing as much as before lessens my interest. Although, he is good looking. Nobody can deny that. Lee So-ra - I didn't think I would like So-ra at first. I think her face gives this initial reaction. Like the I'm-better-looking-than-you look. However, after watching more episodes I actually learn to like So-ra more and more than I do the other girls. She now gives a sort of intellectual and caring vibe. She's really beautiful to look at too. Nana - Perhaps was not my first choice of person to relate to as a viewer. Although I couldn't resist seeing her pretty face, I just couldn't help but feel a bit off by the kiddie vibe. Too much of something just appears to feel a bit fake. I saw her as a grown lady already and thought she should be acting more like one. Not everyone understands this sort of acting but throughout the episodes, I think Nana is becoming more mature but is still keeping to who she is. She deserves some admiration. I've watched some of her work too, and can see she is very talented. Park Bom - Is very likable. I am a 2NE1 fan. I've never really seen any side of Bom outside their performances and music videos. Roommates make Bom appear to be easy to relate to. She's funny too. Park Chan-yeol - Oh the adorable Chan-yeol. <3 Park Min-woo - Since the introduction of the casts, I had my eye on Min-woo and Kang-joon. I searched for their ages and appears that my automatic sway went to Min-woo. Although Kang-joon in my opinion is undeniably more handsome than Min-woo, Min-woo has this appeal that pulls you toward him. I don't know what it is but it's there. Although I am more inclined to Min-woo, the previous episodes showed that he could use a bit of control in terms of envy toward others. The intimidation shows a little, but I do think he realizes it after. Seo Kang-joon - So handsome. Just so handsome. I wish he could mature more though..or maybe read a book...or two. Shin Sung-woo - I didn't know who he was at first so I got curious because he was getting real respect from the other roommates even when they just met. I listened to a few of his songs and realized the respect was well deserved. You are cool mama Shin. hehehe. Song Ga-yeon - Oh, my lady love. I have such admiration for her. She is my favorite roommate. How can someone so young be this accomplished? You can just see her beauty shine from the inside out. Love you Ga-yeon! Fighting! Couple wish list! <3Bom + Dong-wook
