Because just plain bubbles can be super bubbles.

Well, what do you do with a prompt for salt? The beach? Summer destinations? Food? I feel a little bit uninspired all of a sudden. LOL. Cool Experiments For KidsOn a rampant search for inspiration for this prompt, I came across some experiments for kids to do. Easter is coming soon and activities for the kids is a must. Here are a few experiments that involve salt: 1. Lava In A Cup What you will need: * A clear drinking glass * 1/4 cup vegetable oil * 1 teaspoon salt * Water * Food coloring (optional) What you'll do: * Fill the glass about 3/4 full of water * Add about 5 drops of food coloring - I like red for the lava look * Slowly pour the vegetable oil into the glass. See how the oil floats on top - cool huh? It gets better * Now the fun part: Sprinkle the salt on top of the oil * Watch blobs of lava move up and down in your glass * If you liked that, add another teaspoon of salt to keep the effect going. 2. The Floating Egg An egg sinks to the bottom if you drop it into a glass of ordinary drinking water but what happens if you add salt? The results are very interesting and can teach you some fun facts about density.
What you will need: * 1 egg * Water * Salt * A tall drinking glass What you'll do * Pour water into the glass until it is about half full * Stir in lots of salt (about 6 tablespoons) * Carefully pour in plain water until the glass is nearly full (be careful to not disturb or mix the salty water with the plain water). * Gently lower the egg into the water and watch what happens. |
Come up with something random for the prompt above.
I do not claim ownership of this project. I am simply a participant.
